Yay!!!!
Finally my Front242 live DVD 'Catch the Man' did arrive. Watching it as I'm writing this.
Video is great but the sound could have been better, it lacks bass BIG TIME. The feel of a sound terror attack you get at a live Front concert isn't there.
Also got my Tshirt :o)

Thanks Alfa Matrix.

Found on the web #13

Trough a promo video that is being sold at ebay I found out that Underworld and Tomato worked with NVA during a project called Stormy Waters.

'Stormy Waters' is a large-scale open air event set on the Clyde River, Glasgow, on 21/22 July 1995. It will attempt to chart the difficult territory between the past of a city and its future, and how the inhabitants of a major urban area can negotiate with the transformation of the present and sense their involvement in this process. (from the NVA site)
All this was broadcasted over the internet during what was the worlds first streaming event.

We'll do more research on this.

I downloaded a real nice U2 DVDr last few days. It is a pro-shot video done here in holland, Trojan Horse in Den Haag 02-12-1981. Yep, back from the days they still made real music. Quality is ofcourse not the best but it's a great time document for a fan of the old U2.

Thanks to the seeder and easytree.

Yeay! I have my Underworld/Tomato shoes :o)
After mailing a lot of addresses here in Holland I finally got an answer by Adidas yesterday. They told me there were 2 shops selling the music series. Funkie House in rotterdam and Subzero in Utrecht. Stimpee went to look for me at Subzero cos it's around the corner for him, but they didn't know a lot about when, where or what. So I drove to Rotterdam today... That is to say, I wanted to drive there. But because there was an accident at the highway to Tilburg it was closed down and a major trafficjam formed around Eindhoven. After spending to much time in the trafficjam I drove to Eindhoven central trainstation and took the train to Rotterdam cos on the radio the lenght of the trafficjams only lengthened more and more. Got on the train and was around 17:55 in Rotterdam. I walked through the city to the shop. Rain poured down with bits of ice in it, wind was blowing very cold. :(
I found the store and they had only one pair of size 43 1/3 (UK9/US9 1/2) left :o)
The price was a little more then I expected tho...
Had a little chat with the girls in the store about me comming from so far south just to get a pair of the shoes. I hope there were no pictures taken, one of the girls was waving a camera around... :( Back to my home town.... When walking back I walked through some back street where dealers pushed their dope. At Rotterdam central railwaystation, police made an arrest, some doped up woman screaming like a pig. So I got my big city tour for people out of the sticks for sure today.

News #8

In Fridays Spits, a dutch free newspaper, there was a little piece about the Underworld/Tomato shoes.

Translated it says:
Dance on shoes by Underworld
Dance-artists seem to be succesfull as designers too. To celibrate the 35th anniversery of the classical Adidas, the shoemaker asked some artists a sneaker for their music series. Also the dance-act Underworld was asked to design a sneaker. The result is a reflecting sneaker that will be in stores in march in limited quantities. The duo showed ,with the designburo Tomato that they formed in the 90's, already that they could do more then design music. They made a PS-2 game, video-installations and published books with graphics.
