New Sunshine clip

Matt found another little clip about Sunshine where the movie crew undergoes 0 gravity with a little piece of the movie score under it.
(don't click the picture, it's just that)

Turkish Daily News

Yesterday there was a piece about the Efes Pilsen One Love Festival in the Turkish Daily News.

This is what they said about Underworld.
' Istanbul debut:

The Group Underworld is considered the group that changed the fate of rock and techno music. Founded by the British duo Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, Underworld re-invented rave culture with every project they put forth making them just as relevant in the 2000s as they were when they first shocked and delighted listeners with their unique electronic music projects almost 20 years ago.

The architects of the standout track Born Slippy featured in cult director Danny Boyle's film Trainspotting, Hyde and Smith's song is accepted as one of the best summaries of the 1990s cultural evolution.

They are now famous for their dynamic and inspiring live performances; they proved that electronic music is not just pushing some buttons.

The first European date for the world tour in support of their fifth studio album seems to be the Efes Pilsen One Love Festival. The duo will also play as headliners in Greece at the Ejekt Festival, in Portugal at the Super Bock Rock festival and in Spain at the Monegros Festival. Tickets available at Biletix.'

Sunshine inter/re-view in the Guardian

There's a large piece in last sundays Guardian film section on Danny Boyle's Sunshine.

'Dubbed 'the ultimate trip', Kubrick's psychedelic movie used music by the avant garde composer Gyorgy Ligeti, which Underworld's Karl Hyde admits profoundly influenced his own work on the music for Boyle's new film. 'I'd never heard anything like it,' says Hyde of Ligeti's Lux Aeterna, which sounds for all the world like choirs of alien angels ringing throughout the heavens, investing 2001's baffling denouement with undeniable overtones of religious ecstasy and unearthly transcendence.'

Exhibition of some tomato art

Eyestorm will be staging an exhibition of new limited edition prints by four of the UK's most accomplished designers of music cover art at its Bankside gallery from April 20 - May 20th 2007.

Stanley Donwood, Reggie Pedro, Jason Kedgley and Simon Taylor have all gained wide recognition through their creative collaboration with leading rock bands, but less well known is that all four continue to pursue parallel careers as independent artists.

More info here http://www.eyestorm.com/exhibition.html.

Sunshine news

First, today in my mailbox I found the filmposter for Danny Boyle's Sunshine.

Next, I got word that the music Underworld made for this movie is more like the underworld we know then the ambiant/classical pieces they did for the Breaking and Entering movie. \0/
