BBC tastemaker poll 2006
There is a little interview with Karl at the BBC site.
"Karl Hyde
Artist, Underworld
What are you most excited about working on in 2006?
Finishing the film score to Anthony Minghella’s new film, Breaking And Entering; getting back to webcasting our radio shows (via www.dirty.org); jamming with Rick for more Underworld releases; jamming with the other Tomatoes (mostly via the internet); releasing the new book collaboration with Rick and John Warwicker; and exploring different ways of playing live.
Which acts are you looking forward to seeing more of in 2006?
Efterklang. They’re like a live film score for the inside of your head. Very beautiful, very fragile.
How do you see new music developing in 2006?
Greater choice through webcasts, podcasts, videocasts… Consequently, more low quality work out in public, but a greater chance of finding real gems that would normally get passed over by mainstream trends. Small groups of skilled people interacting, exchanging ideas, supporting and encouraging one another."
