2005 Tour #24

Dutch musicmagazine OOR has a 'review' on their site about the gig at the HMH.
We all know reviewers are Ubermenschen and this one is even at the top of those!
He had to come aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way from the centre of Amsterdam to a place he didn't like and saw a totally different show then we all did.
I'm fine with reviews that say 'I didn't like it cos of this and this..' But this piece of utter crap is written because the writer didn't get enough free drinks or something.
And they know it is crap too, they are removing comments that readers write!

2005 Tour #6

Bad news. The Movement! festival in Gelsenkirchen isn't going to happen. To low interest, not enough tickets sold according to a press release by the promotor. (in german)

From the first moment on when the date for that festival was released, I looked for info and a website etc. Only found ticketsellers advertising for it. The website that finally came after a long long time looked poor and the date appeared very late at the site of the venue. So I had my doubts and told my chatbuddies a couple of times that it looked dodgy but still was planning to go because it was 'close' to where I live.
What happened we will never know, but it's off.
Sad...

News #25

There is an interview (in dutch) with Liesbeth Esselink aka Solex on the 3voor12 site. The journalist is the same who did interview Karl last week. Karl told him he thought Solex is the female Captain Beefheart. Now they ask her what she thinks of that.
'I'm very honord by that, Beefheart is a hero. But I think I can't compare to him'.
Then he asks what she thinks about Underworld playing songs by her during their webcasts.
'It's great that they listen to a lot of different music styles, a lot of bands just listen to whats in their collection already. And they are constantly searching for new things. That is great.'

Bit further in the interview..
She is producing a new album and thinks about having someone else sing.
Currently she's looking for a singer.
The journalist is suggesting: 'Karl Hyde?' Solex:'Yes, yeah.. that is ofcourse an option (laughs) please give me his emailaddress'

Thnx 3voor12!
